Bones, chicken, vegetables Broth and the benefits

Broth - in my culture is an essential meal that is never  missing from our tables. We use to make it also as a celebration special meal or after a really nasty party with lots of drinks (once or twice a year, ha, ha , ha)

We  call it "ciorba"  means "soup" in english, and is made out of different ingredients as veggies, roots, meat or simple bones, but lets call it broth as is commoun these days. This can be:



Bone broth as is made of beef bones with lots of vegetables
Chicken broth, instead of bones we are adding chicken and ofcourse veggies with lots of roots
Veggies broth, made out of veggetables and roots.

Its a simple process of making it and everyone can make it in their own house.
I will give you a short exemple:

In 5l water  you boil few beef bones, after you clean all the foam is forming on top of the boiled water, you adding : 1 carrot, 1 parsnip, 1small celery root, 1 big anion, few garlic cloves, 1medium red bellpepper and 1 yellow, some green beens, 100g of califlower. boil them together for 20 minutes. After you switch off the heat you are adding fresh green parsley and coriander, salt and paper for your own taste.

The benefits of the broth:

- is rich in minerals that support the immune system
- contains healing compounds like collagen(healing gut lining and reduce intestinal inflammation), glutamine(is the most commun aminoacid found in your muscles), glycine(another aminoacid that helps you to recover your muscles) and proline( is used in biosynthesis of proteins).
- improve joint health
- overcome food intolerances and allergies
- reduce cellulite ;)

So, here we go, another option for our healthy meals.
